Groups, formerly known as Hometown Groups, can help your chapter categorize PNMs based on commonalities. To set up Groups, go to Settings > Groups.
To add Groups, click on the blue Add Group button. A new Group line will be added to the list. You can then name the Group and specify which users can view the Group. To delete a Group, click on the red trash can next to the Group name.
To add PNMs to Groups, hover your mouse over a PNM in the PNM List. You will then see a circle with a box you can check where the PNM picture was. Click to check the box to select the PNM and you will see a list of options appear, including Set Group. You will then select the appropriate group from the drop-down list. This can be done with one or multiple PNMs at a time.
Groups must be created in Settings before assigning PNMs to groups. Technology Team users can assign or change a PNMs Group.
To upload Groups, click on the blue plus sign button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Select Import Groups. One the Import Groups page, you will find the Choose file button to upload, along with a preview of the needed fields for your upload.
The upload Excel sheet should match the preview with the PNM ID in the first column, followed by the Group name in the second column. This should be the only data included in the upload sheet.
WARNING: The Group name is spelling/case-sensitive. If a Group is mistyped, it will create a new group that only that PNM is assigned to.
The first row in the spreadsheet will be omitted, so you will need a header row or start your data on Row 2. Once you click upload, the Hometown Groups will be created and assigned to the corresponding PNM.
Once Groups are assigned, the PNM List can be filtered by Groups.
Groups can also be used with Advanced Matching using the PNM's geographical location. When using Auto-Match, you can select a Group to be considered your chapter’s hometown. From there, the Hometown Hero and Road Warrior specialties can be used to match those within and outside of the selected hometown Group.
