MyVote - How to Use Auto-Match in Advanced Matching

Auto-Match will generate your matches using the existing scores, specialties, and match recommendations placed by users during voting. Auto-match can only be run when the events for the round are entered.

Set up auto-match by determining if you would like to match by users or by bump groups, to the entire round or just a specific event, the max number of PNMs to match to a user, designate the hometown if you are using a geographic specialty, and enter any matching exclusions. Matching exclusions can be any members who are not present or are not picking up PNMs from the door in the round you are placing matches for.

Select which specialties you want Auto-Match to use by checking the box the each weight and set each specialty's weight to determine how much you want MyVote to prioritize that type of match. The higher the weight applied, the more likely a user with that specialty will be matched to a PNM. Learn more about how the weights work here.

Once you are satisfied with your auto-match settings, select ‘Generate Matches’ to run auto-matching. Please allow a few minutes and do not refresh until you see the ‘Generated Successfully!” message appear.

If you received a Failed message, MyVote was not able to recommend matches based on your MyVote setup and auto-match settings and you will need to troubleshoot.
